 Newberry Michigan offers a great snowmobile adventure for family and friends to enjoy. TASA (The Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association) grooms and maintains 128 miles of snowmobile trails that connect to other area trail systems that reach out throughout the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Newberry also has great Lodging for snowmobilers and Snowmobile Rental businesses.

TASA is a non profit organization that was organized for the purpose of promoting and advancing the general welfare and safety of snowmobiling.  TASA also is here to serve the interest of snowmobile owners, to defend such owners against discriminatory

legislation and burdensome taxation, to develop a fraternal spirit among all snowmobile and other winter sport enthusiasts, to provide a medium for the exchange of snowmobiling information, to lease or own property for public and association uses and to perform all desirable and lawful functions for the successful operation of the association and in the general public interest.  Snowmobile Maps are available for $4 at The Newberry Chamber Office, on the corner of M123 and M28 in the little Log Cabin.  Stop in and see us!  We are open 10am-4pm Monday-Friday during the winter season.

Snowmobile Trails Open on State land on December 1st and gates on private land will open Monday, December 16.  Grooming begins when we have 12 inches of snow on the ground.
