Newberry Michigan offers a great snowmobile adventure for family and friends to enjoy. TASA (The Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association) grooms and maintains 128 miles of snowmobile trails that connect to other area trail systems that reach out throughout the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Newberry also has great Lodging for snowmobilers and Snowmobile Rental businesses.

Snowmobile Maps are available for $4 at The Newberry Chamber Office, on the corner of M123 and M28 in the little Log Cabin.  Stop in and see us!  We are open 10am-4pm Monday-Friday during the winter season.

North Store Outpost on County Road 407 will be OPEN for the 2013 season.
"Trail Rules" - never pass up a gas pump!  Limited to No Cell service or pay phones on Trail 8.   Please ride safely and responsibly."

2013 COMPETITIVE EVENTS/RACES
      February
22-23:  Great Lakes Antique Snowmobile Series, Newberry One Lunger 200, Snowmobile Race, Tahquamenon Motor Sports Track, Newberry, MI.

   March 2:  King Of the Airstrip, snowmobile Drag Race, at the Luce County Airport. (NEW DATE!)

2013 SHOWS:
      February 16   10am-3pm, 21st Annual Top of the Lake Antique & Vintage Snowmobile Show, Naubinway, MI (on US2).

 
2013 NON-COMPETITIVE EVENTS:
      February 15-16:  21st  Annual Top of the Lake Antique & Vintage Snowmobile Show;   Friday 8am-10am: Breakfast at the Naubinway Pavilion followed by a 12 mile ride ending with a Bonfire, hot dogs, brats and marshmallow roast. All snowmobiles and riders welcome. Saturday 10am-3pm: Display of all sleds in downtown Naubinway. Saturday 4:30-6:00: Banquet at Garfield Township Hall, Engadine with a presentation on the featured sled (Massey Ferguson Ski Whiz), raffle, drawings and an auction.      February 15-16:   Mardi Gras De Snow, Snowmobile Festival of Races & Games, Paradise, Variety of races on Friday and Saturday, Awards banquet Saturday. For more information call 906-492-3219.

     February 23:  Millecoquin Lake Winter Carnival, Hiawatha Club Recreation Building, SE corner of Lake Millecoquin.
   Concessions, games, skating, Poker Run, Snowmobile Radar Run, Predator Hunt, Fishing Contest, Dog Sled rides, Chili Cook-Off, Family games. For more information call 906-477-6592.


TASA -
Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association
is a non profit organization that was organized for the purpose of promoting and advancing the general welfare and safety of snowmobiling. TASA also is here to serve the interest of snowmobile owners, to defend such owners against discriminatory legislation and burdensome taxation, to develop a fraternal spirit among all snowmobile and other winter sport enthusiasts, to provide a medium for the exchange of snowmobiling information, to lease or own property for public and association uses and to perform all desirable and lawful functions for the successful operation of the association and in the general public interest.
