At American Legion Hall, next to State Police post on M-123 7:00pm: National Anthem, solo by Jane Fuller, followed by a patriotic sing-a-long accompanied by the Richie Yurkovich Polkariety Band. 7:15pm-11:15pm Richie Yurkovich Polkariety of Willart, WI Snacks will be provided
Saturday October 2nd
At Tahquamenon Logging Museum, 1 mi. N of Newberry on M-123: 7:00am-Noon Lumberjack Breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon, homemade sausage, american fries, coffee & milk), Adults $7.50, 6-12yrs $5.00, under 5yrs - free.
Bore-cut demonstrations by Michigan Association of Timbermen
1:00pm-4:00pm Logging contests including cross-cut saw competition, chainsaw, tree-felling (the cutter must fell and tree and hit a pop can!), women's nail pounding contest, kid's helmet throw, kid's money scramble in a pile of sawdust.
At American Legion Hall, next to State Police post on M-123: 10:30am Oktoberfest Parade "Fall Harvest", starts from the American Legion Hall and moves north on M-123. Come on out and pick your favorite float!
