We invite you to join us for the 19th Annual Tahquamenon Country Sled Dog Race which attracts mushers from all over the world including Canada, South Africa and New Zealand! Featuring 5 Race Classes, including a 4-mile Youth Race, this event is the season kickoff for many Sled-Dog enthusiasts! Join in the fun a day early with a Community Pastie Dinner on Friday, January 5, from 5 - 7 p.m. and have the chance to get to know the mushers. Experience the energy and excitement of the dogs and mushers alike as they fly out of the shoot beginning at 9:30 a.m. on race day- we look forward to seeing you there!

On Saturday from 3 Feb. 2018 to 24 Feb. 2018.

Enjoy winter at the Upper Falls by taking a guided snowshoe hike with the park naturalist at 2 pm. Stick around to enjoy the 1-mile lantern lit trail from 6-8:30 pm. Free snowshoe rental, bonfire and refreshments.
All activities are free, but a Recreation Passport is required for entry. Purchase your Recreation Passport at the park entrance or at the Secretary of State when you renew your vehicle tabs.
