Description:

The Erickson Center for the Arts Waterfront Gallery presents “Two Perspectives: The Art of Christine Groleau and Laura Maze.” This exhibit offers viewers several mediums including oil paint, photography, and watercolor created by the Upper Peninsula artists.
Christine Groleau retired from teaching art and opened her own studio in order to concentrate more on her personal growth as an artist. She attends local workshops, as well as hosts her own workshops in her studio. She has concentrated on abstract painting with a focus on color, and a strong center of interest.
Laura Maze focuses mainly on the process of her work, but is mindful of the outcome. Her changing interest in technique, style, and material allow her to keep her works of art spontaneous and personal. Laura is currently in a gold leaf period with her paintings and prints.
The exhibit will be open to the public.
