Michigan Works presented awards to Vickie Green, Wayne Hellerstadt, and Ramon Lucas.

The Newberry Area Tourism Association also acknowledged Marcia Mahn for her research contributions to the new Tahquamenon Country Area Guide. Also contributing to the design and writing of this beautiful publication were Shelley Ahtila, Executive Director of the Newberry Area Chamber of Commerce, and Betsy Lewis, local photographer and writer. The publication had its public debut at the Annual Dinner and is available at the Newberry Chamber office located at the corner of M-123 and M-28.
